New York City
December 2008
There was a lot packed into our 4 days and 3 nights! We enjoyed watching the skaters at Rockefeller Center and peering into the store windows that were all decked out for the holidays. We had a couple of excellent guides on our hop-on-hop-off downtown, uptown, and nighttime city lights tours. Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty were emotionally moving. (OK so there was a little rain and wind that day!)
The Broadway shows we chose were very enjoyable and we were really wowed by the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall. We all chose different activities for the little bit of free time we had. Some of us went to Ground Zero, others shopped, took pictures or visited a couple of the marvelous museums the city has to offer. To top it all off, the spectacularly decorated Tavern on the Green in Central Park was the scene for our grand finale dinner. It's safe to say we all left wanting to experience more of New York City!
