We needed at least two more days!
That was the cry from the group of us who went to Chicago September 29-October 3.
We did manage to cram in quite a lot in the 5 days/4 nights we were there. We set the tone for the trip by treating ourselves at Morton's Steakhouse the first night.
The following morning we took a city tour, then headed for the Art Institute in the afternoon. That evening we were entertained by up-and-comers at Second City comedy club.
The next day we headed for the Field Museum of natural history and in the evening, we were treated to Blues Chicago-style at the Blues Club.
The following morning, a couple of us headed for the Adler Planetarium while the others headed back to the awesome Art Institute. In the afternoon we took an architectural river cruise that provided a fascinating look at the buildings as well as the history of this incredible city.
We then managed to fit in yet another delicious dinner before seeing the broadway production of Wicked. In between all this, we found time to stroll through Millennium Park and along the Magnificent Mile with it's trendy shops.
It's not all bad when you leave wanting more of a place. We all hope to make a return trip some day.
