Countries with the Best Weather

Traveling is so much better when the weather co-operates.  No matter where I go, I’m constantly checking the weather on my iPhone so I can be prepared. Although we can’t always predict weather conditions, with a little homework we can figure out the best places to go that meet our needs weather wise.

For the best temperatures, Ecuador is a top choice.  It is on the equator, so you mostly get the same amount of sunlight every day.  The daytime temperatures remain around 75 degrees Fahrenheit year-round. A trip to this South American country takes us to the land of eternal spring.

Yuma, Arizona rates at the top of the list for being the sunniest.  No, Arizona isn’t a country, but it must be mentioned.  The Guinness World Records even agrees with me on this one.  The sun generally shines 90% of the time.

Winter in Switzerland offers the best snow. It can’t be beat for skiing, snowboarding and exploring in the Swiss Alps. The highest slopes that tower more than 1.5 miles have snow almost the entire year.

If you are looking for a tropical vacation, look no further than Brazil. Tropical for most of us means a warm climate, flora and fauna, distinct animals, beaches and rainforests. Brazil has it all.  The Amazon rainforest covers 60% of Brazil and contains around 40,000 plant species, 430 amphibian species, 300 fish species, 380 reptile species and 1300 bird species.

The country with the cleanest air is Iceland.  It has a sparse population and an abundance of forests that act as natural air filters.  Iceland also has strict regulations on air pollution. Numerous areas have volcanic activity, making much of the country inhabitable.

The Canary Islands off the coast of West Africa is known for having the starriest skies. Frequent stargazing tours lead to the edge of the Caldera de Taburiente National Park. The park reaches an altitude of about 7,870 feet and is usually above a sea of clouds and under an abundance of shining stars.

The least rainy country is Egypt.  It has the lowest recorded rainfall in the world. Most of us think of Egypt as a dry and dusty place, and rightfully so, with Egypt being located in the Sahara desert. The main water source is the Nile River.  Most of the population and industry are located near the river which provides water for their agriculture and power production.

If getting wet on your vacation isn’t appealing, then traveling to Egypt all but guarantees you will stay dry as a bone!

For all of you who want the weather conditions to be just right, this is the guide for your next climate-controlled vacation!
